- In the text field, type cmd and press Enter again.
- You will now see the command prompt application launch on your computer screen.
- Here, type ‘ipconfig’ and press the Enter key again.
- You will now see complete information about the network including the IP address.

IP settings issues
In order for your Linksys E8450 router to connect to the internet, it needs to communicate the IP settings. And, if it cannot do so, you won’t be able to proceed with the setup process.
